Adult & YA Summer Library Program

June 1st to July 30th

Summer is coming to Norelius Community Library! That means we're going to be buzzing with activity for patrons of all ages! Our Adult and YA Summer Library Program is ages 6th grade to adult.

The theme this year is "Read Beyond the Beaten Path". We're encouraging our patrons to get just a little out of their comfort zone and do or read something they might not normally, with the following events and activities:

Crafternoon Returns!

Crafternoon returns during Summer Library Program with a weekly class or craft activity for tweens, teens, and adults! These will be held on Fridays starting June 17th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. You can also pick up a kit for most of these activities to take home any time during or after the program until supplies last.

Weekly Prizes!

Starting Monday, June 6th, any time you come into the library you can receive an entry into our weekly prize drawings. Whether you're checking out a book, attending a program, using a computer, making a copy, sending a fax, or just hanging out, you'll be able to enter your name and number for a chance to be one of our five weekly winners!

Reading Challenge!

Who says that tweens, teens and adults shouldn't get prizes just for reading? Not us! You can receive a snack for every book (or audio or e-book) you read from June 1st to July 30th. Please see the circulation desk for a Reading Map to keep track!

Summer Library Grand Prize!

You can enter into our grand prize drawing each time you attend a program (Color Me Calm, Crafternoon, Tabletop Roleplaying, or any of the other events listed below)! We'll have entry forms available at every event. You'll also receive an entry for every two books read within our Reading Challenge.
