Children's Summer Library Program

The theme for 2026 is Plant a Seed, Read! This summer, you can plant seeds of knowledge, fun and excitement through a variety of programs, including live butterfly pavilions, a visit from Black Mambas author Kelly Crull and an interactive live music show from the folks at DoArt Productions. We will also have arts and crafts on Fridays, toddler time on Wednesdays and Storytime on Saturdays. The children's Summer Library Program is for ages 2-11, and kids ages 12-14 can decide to participate in either the children's or the teen and adult program.

Kids will also receive a reading log, where they can keep track of what they read, the programs they attend, and more to earn brag tags, prizes and entries to our grand prize drawing. We will have four (4) grand prizes this year, with no limit on how many entries you can turn in!

Children ages nine (9) and up can attend Summer Library Program events without a parent or guardian present, but we do ask that if you are bringing a large group of children to have a helper present to assist them. Any child under age nine (9) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at least thirteen (13) years of age.
