The Norelius Community Library Board of Trustees is seeking a dynamic, outgoing, tech savvy individual with knowledge of social media to fill a vacancy of Assistant Library Director. Application window closes March 31, 2021. Position open until filled. Duties and Responsibilities of the Assistant Library Director include: Supervise the inter library loan program, Supervise Adult/Young Adult programs and activities, Collection development, Prepare orders for new materials, Catalog and process new materials, Supervise Page in assigned tasks, Circulation procedures, Reference Assistance, Attend Workshops and continuing education courses, Direct day to day operation of the Library in the absence of the Library Director, Assist Library Director in the performance of his/her duties, Other duties as assigned by the Library Director. Suggested Minimum Qualifications: State Library certification at Level III or above, Ten years Library experience or 60 semester hours of college credit from an accredited college or university in any course of study, Completion of Library Management I & II, High School Diploma or GED, Applications and job description available at the Library. The Norelius Community Library Board of Trustees is looking for the next Children's Library to serve the families and children of this community. The Children’s Librarian's duties and responsibilities include an understanding of children's literature, workings of the library, the supervision of the Children’s Library and activities, plan and carry out children’s programs and services, recommend new equipment for the Children’s Library, suggest plans for extending Library services, provide reference assistance, understand circulation procedures, shelving and organizing materials, gain a knowledge of cataloging and processing new library materials, attend workshops and continuing education courses assigned for personal growth and better management of the children's library needs. Suggested Minimum Qualifications: State Library Certification at Level III or above, high school diploma or GED, ten years of Library work experience or 60 semester hours of college credit from an accredited college or university in any course of study and completion of Library Management I and II.
