The Norelius Community Library is hosting a book signing with Kathy Macumber, author of The Forgotten Generation of WWII.  The event will be held on Tuesday, July 14 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.  Macumber will reflect on what life was like in a small Midwestern town for a young family after father and husband went off to war. 

Macumber and her husband Dave, former Denison residents, renovated the Victorian house at the corner of 15th Street and 1st Avenue South, which became Conner’s Corner Bed and Breakfast.  Now residents of Naples, Florida they will be in Iowa for Kathy Macumber’s 50th class reunion at Algona High School.

Scott Winey, with Bluespace Creative, will also be attending.  The Denison marketing firm was responsible for designing and publishing Macumber’s book.

The event is free and open to all.  Refreshments will be served, and copies of The Forgotten Generation of WWII will be available.
